My interest in Raku started with the Kent Potters Association. I enjoy the immediacy and unexpected results
My work is hand built using a variety of techniques. I enjoy experimenting with low fired glazes creating an impressive palette of colours specialising in individually produced pieces. My work has been described as waggish quirky and edgy.
The Paintings on Silk developedĀ from my teaching textiles and the need for a new examination for mix ability and gender group. Painting on silk gives me the same feeling as a Raku firing for the colour and salt application often result in the unexpected. My work is rarely planned, but evolves. The excitement of the moment takes over.
My work hasĀ been exhibited in Kent and London and is in Galleries throughout the Country and in private collections worldwide.
