I am strongly influenced by the surrounding countryside of the South East as well as the coast, my garden and home, and the changing seasons. I like to express the landscape in colour, marking making and texture. I gained a BA Honours Degree in Printed Textiles at Middlesex Polytechnic in 1989. I worked in the Textile industry for sixteen years designing for the likes of Laura Ashley, French Connection, Habitat and many fashion and textile companies all over the world. This background plays an important role in how I interpret the patterning and form of the landscape or still life. I exhibit in a number of galleries and shows in the South East as well as Hampshire, Devon and the Peak District. Also I have recently been working with John Lewis Partnership, who are selling some of my paintings as prints.
